All agencies will be recorded in the Alberta Agency Inventory.  The inventory will be housed with the Agency Governance Secretariat and will be maintained with ministries.

Discussion

The inventory will assist the government in actively overseeing the governance of its agencies in order to ensure public functions are provided in the most appropriate and effective manner.  It will allow for greater coordination across government, more consistent governance practices and regular review of agencies.

All entities that meet the framework’s definition of an agency will be recorded in the Agency Inventory.

Task Force agency inventory

The following inventory of agencies was developed by the Board Governance Review Task Force and was current as of September 30, 2007. The Agency Governance Secretariat will be working with ministries to review and update the inventory based on the Public Agencies Governance Framework policies.
